`Namibia has a violent and traumatic history. It is time for a woman  to lead the country to peace, prosperity and unity. Not only is Rosa a mother and grand mother but she has given over 250 vulnerable orphans a safe and loving home at the Dolam Children's Home which she founded in Katatura.

Rosa has been a member of parliament for over 8 years in various roles nationally and internationally. She fought with SWAPO for Independence up until 1990 and went on to serve in the Congress of Democrats. She is now running as an Independent and is committed to bringing about the changes Namibians deserve. 

Human Rights Activist

Rosa has been fighting for Namibia's liberation since the 70's. She faced solitary confinement under Apartheid  during her arrest and incarceration in Windhoek, Dordabis and Okahandja prisons and witnessed human rights abuses under SWAPO. She has been working tirelessly against violence at a community level.  It is now time to realise her vision for peace, and prosperity for all Namibians.

 Public Figure

Rosa is an Internationally sought after speaker on gender, violence and human rights issues. She  is an ambassador for the Global Eco Village Network and Trauma Informed Leadership. Her wisdom and insights are regularly featured on TV and Radio shows and in the Press in Namibia.

Visolela Rosa Namises

Visolela Rosa Namises is an internationally reknowned  Namibian human rights and gender activist who has been involved in the struggle to liberate and bring peace, equality and integrity to Namibia  since the 70's.  

 

After fighting with SWAPO for Namibia's liberation in the 80's, she left the party in 1992 when human rights violations were silenced. She was a founding Director and Secretary General for the Namibian Congress of Democrats (COD) and sat in Parliament for 8 years.

 

She stepped back from politics in 2011 to focus on human rights work with Women's Solidarity Namibia which lobbies and educates on issues of human rights and violence against women and children. She has innumerable connections with NGOs throughout the country and internationally and is  frequently asked to speak publicaly in the media on social issues. 

 

Since 2012 she has been an ambasador for the  Global Eco Village Network (GEN), developing practical approaches to creating better living conditions for all people. She has been developing re-generative agro-ecology projects across Namibia since 2019 to improve food security, nutrition and livelihoods in diverse marginalised communities.

In addition to her political, human rights and environmental work, Rosa Namises is the founder and director of the Dolam Children's Home, Katatura,  which has  provided a loving home to over 250 children. 

​

Rosa has witnessed and faced Namibia's struggles head on. She was born and raised in Katatura, and is committed to bringing all Namibians out of the shadows and into the light.
